01 / Carpenters — All Experience Levels
We're always interested in connecting with carpenters at every stage of their careers—from people taking their first steps into the trades to experienced carpenters looking for their next opportunity.
You don't need to have followed a traditional path into construction. What matters to us is a willingness to learn, attention to detail, a good attitude, and pride in your work.
Whether you're an experienced carpenter, still developing your skills, or simply interested in joining the trades, we'd be happy to hear from you.
02 / Apprenticeship Program
MA Builders is proud to be part of the Maine Apprenticeship Program.
Our apprentices are paid while they gain hands-on carpentry experience, attend classes, and work toward a nationally recognized certificate.
We're in our first year of offering an official apprenticeship program, and our current cohort is full. But we always welcome introductions from people interested in future openings as we look toward our next cohort of one or two apprentices.
We especially welcome people coming to the trades through non-traditional pathways.
GROWING THE TRADES
Meet Matt!
Matt moved back home to Maine after working in higher education and joined the crew as an apprentice carpenter. He now manages MA Builders' inaugural apprenticeship program, bringing together his interests in growing the trades, mentorship, reflection, and, in his words, channeling his inner camp counselor.
Outside of carpentry, Matt enjoys hosting gatherings, learning the banjo, and doing his best to smell like campfire.
