Here at MA Builders we believe in supporting Maine’s community through actions big & small. Below are some resources to help support Maine homeowners & local non-profits.

A Climate to Thrive

“A Climate to Thrive works to transition Mount Desert Island off fossil fuels, rapidly reducing greenhouse gas emissions through a combination of locally sited and owned clean energy generation, energy efficiency, and electrification.”

Efficiency Maine

Efficiency Maine supports ME residents with rebates, discounts, and information on tax deductions as well as where to find local contractors for energy efficient installs.

Maine Climate Action Now

“MCAN catalyzes transformative education and action in response to the climate and ecological emergency. We seek to honor, unite and amplify the voices of youth, frontline communities, and others historically excluded from the climate conversation and positions of power.

We hold social, racial, and economic justice as critical to the transition to zero carbon emissions by 2030, and demand the equitable implementation of clean renewable energy, ecological land-use practices, and bold community-led action for a more resilient Maine.”

Maine Needs

“We strive to help individuals and families in Maine meet their basic, material needs by providing donated clothing, hygiene products, household items, and other necessities. We focus our work on those starting life over from scratch: domestic abuse survivors, asylum seekers and those facing financial hardships.”

North Haven Sustainable Sustainable Housing

“North Haven Sustainable Housing is a 501(c)3 non-profit organization committed to providing affordable year-round housing for the residents of North Haven, an island off the coast of Maine.”
